Christopher’s Tavern and Sports Bar

Selective Focus Photo Of Alcohol Bottles

You might think of Christopher’s Tavern and Sports Bar in Sixteen Acres as a place which only exerts an environment of sports fans and cold drinks but it offers a more sophisticated dining experience despite what its name may imply about its emphasis on cool drinks and baseball games.

Setting

The design of Christopher’s suggests that going there is the same as supporting the squad. There are TVs everywhere; some booths even have private flat-screen TVs. Pro sports memorabilia covers the walls; a scowling image of “The Bambino” stared down at the table where we were seated.

The establishment’s public area is dominated by a sizable rectangular bar, with booth seating and a few pub-height tables making up the remainder of the guest accommodations.

Menu

If you are wondering about the menu, you will think of this as a place with limited options but the variety offers the chance to explore the cuisine in a whole different manner. The list of appetisers includes items like an Eggplant Tower, calamari with fried banana peppers, and sautéed Brussels sprouts with bacon and Parmesan cheese. It also includes items like bone-in wings and loaded nachos. Fried Pickles, Loaded Potato Skins, and Philly Steak & Cheese Egg Rolls are a few of the bar food selections.

Customers play with the thought of finishing their order of wings with 19 different sauces, but then they sensibly choose to conserve their appetites eagerly for main meal. At Christopher’s Tavern, the servings are too substantial.

Entrée options the menu items listed on the bill of fare range from Beer Battered Fish & Chips to Brick Oven Mac & Cheese. Smothered Tips, Cajun-style Blackened Pork Chops, and a New York Strip Steak are just a few of the steakhouse-inspired dishes that are offered.

Tavern Pasta had penne and an alluringly creamy sauce that brought together a rich assortment of flavours, including onion, ham, bacon, garlic, and teriyaki. The spaghetti was served with a chunk of garlic bread and was topped with slabs of flavorsome chicken breast and strands of caramelized onion.

Brick Oven Pizza

Pizza made in a brick oven is Christopher’s specialty. Customers can choose from among the options on the menu or create their own bespoke pie by getting ideas from a list of more than a dozen toppings. Over the years, the restaurant has become known for its discovery that barbecue and pizza mix well, with sweet and smokey pizza sauce making a tasty alternative to the more conventional tomato-based sauce. Red onion, Cheddar cheese, and plenty of barbecue sauce were used to finish off a pie that was topped with barbecued chicken and pork chunks.

We thoroughly appreciated the pie, which had a taste profile that was more akin to a barbecue sandwich than a pizza.

With the setting and the menu, we are sure of the fact that you will have a time of a lifetime at this place. Visiting with your loved ones is what makes meals special so buckle up to reach at the right time of your choosing and have an experience worth the cost.
